Yes - the two people I spoke to were both new to SL and had, like me, discovered Seconfest by reading about it in the newspaper (real life, actual physical made-of-paper variety)!

As an old SL avatar, I went along to Secondfest on Sunday morning; yes I know sunday morning and festivals don't mix but I had a date with my b/f... who as a regular 'travel agent' for SL was not terrible impressed. and I, like several of the avatars I met there ( all newbies for the event it seemed) never got further than the welcome tent. OK I admit it - SL'ers are not big walkers, we like to fly, and ceilings limit that; or tp (teleport) so links within the island would have really helped. Overall, not too impressed - and as SL has a festival island thats been running the last 6 months - with live global DJ's, freebies, camping for cash etc..... again external business trying to get involved in in-world innovation.
